| Communication is certainly an exciting art.
In what is referred to as "postmodern market", some will even argue that it is a science. And whether you are a practitioner or not, you must engage in that art. William Shakespear, the writer of old, put it succinctly in his "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, some have greatness thrust upon them" euphemism. Just change the birth idea for creative genius and you will see that some are born with creative talent while some others do the other stuff.
Kenny Badmus is sure one of the young creative minds who are lucky to be in the art and science for which The Creator crafted them. What is intriguing however, is the primordial academic argument as to whether one can or indeed should attempt to be didactic about the creative process, did you read "crazy" process? I do not know what Kenny set out to do when the crazy thought of a book ran through his mind, but I am certain that what he has succeeded in doing is to chart a"pathway to great advertising".
In my over 25 years of active communication practice of journalism, public relations, advertising and corporate relationship management I have seldom come across young minds that are truly free, daring and explorative. Kenny is one of the few. A clear expression of these traits of his person is revealed in what you will read in the following pages. The thoughts in these pages will certainly spur more discourse for both the clients and recipients of advertising and creative communication. If this effort of Kenny achieves that goal of engineering new thoughts for our profession, then all who read this book will owe Kenny a debt of gratitude for contributions. And I hope that such development or expression of gratitude will in no way encourage Kenny to relent.
